The Joy of Embodied Presence – April/May

Ver en español

This 4-week interactive online meditation program explores the body as a powerful doorway into open awareness and the vibrancy of direct experience. Through simple practices of breath and movement, we will connect with the deep stability of the body’s stillness and discover the aliveness of the present moment. Join 3 Doors Senior Teacher Laura Shekerjian for weekly Saturday sessions as she leads a practice group to:

  • Use shifts in posture to open the body, connect with stillness, and increase inner stability
  • Utilize breath to slow the moving mind and deepen relaxation
  • Refine attention to bodily sensation to increase attunement to the present moment
  • Recognize how the immediacy of bodily experience, when grounded in the space of being, increases joy and deep wellbeing

Experiences from the January/February 2018 course:

Laura’s class was wonderful. It gave me an experience of body which I have never known before and I am eager to continue the exploration. She is such a wise teacher – her timing is perfect and everything was coordinated perfectly to allow plenty of time for sharing and exploration. I think that she is a special person and I am looking forward to enjoying more classes with her in the future.  Karen C.

I found it a very deep and joyful journey. I want to thank everybody and especially Laura for her way of teaching. So trustful, calm, and effective. I found so much by going in-depth into the core of my being. It helped me become more alive in every cell of my body and more!  Roland Z.

Las enseñanzas de Laura sobre el movimiento lento del cuerpo, y cómo esa lentitud me abrió a un mundo de matices, de sutilezas con mi cuerpo. Inés S.   (Laura’s teachings on slow body movements opened up a world of subtleties within my body.)

Laura’s clear warmth comes through in a way that allows participants to discover their own.  To discover that afresh each Saturday morning in my living room speaks to the power of practice and the new possibilities that are available when a teacher knows how to guide with a presence gentle enough to allow an exploration and awareness of one’s subtle energies. Phil T.
