Temple Crocker is a graduate of the 5th North American Academy. She serves on staff with The 3 Doors focusing on communications and community development. She co-leads a weekly Zoom meditation group with Kathryn Templeton and previously co-facilitated a meditation support group for caregivers with Renée Daily. She is currently participating in the Teacher Training program.

Temple is an artist and somatic educator with over 25 years of experience creating original, collaborative performances across disciplines and settings. In university contexts, she has supported actors and theater makers in expanding their expressive range through embodied awareness, physical theater practices, and compositional approaches to time and space. A certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, she helps individuals to move through daily life with greater ease, balance and freedom. She teaches at 18 Springs Community Healing Center, a nonprofit dedicated to accessibility, inclusivity, and collective well-being.

Shaped by more than a decade of supporting her mother through Alzheimer’s, Temple has developed arts-based projects that bring to light the creative and relational capacities of people living with dementia. Through collective storytelling and improvisational movement she creates shared spaces that foster connection, intimacy, and well-being across age stages and changing abilities. She has partnered with senior living communities, theaters, universities, community centers, and medical settings in this work.

Temple is currently developing a new intergenerational performance Broken River/Wild Wood. The project explores our inherent connection to the natural world and wonder, while reflecting on time, friendship, loss, and the mysteries that unfold when we choose to help.

I love sharing the 3 Doors practices with others and the sense of community, connection, and trust that grows with time. Nurturing a practice that invites us to turn toward rather than away—to be present with both suffering and joy—opens up all kinds of possibilities for experiencing the true breadth of our lives.
