Steven Friedman has worked as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand and upper extremity in Baltimore, Maryland for the past 32 years. He has been a student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche since 2013 and is a graduate of the 3 Doors North American Academy and Presenters Path. Steven currently serves on the Ligmincha Conduct and Care Council as well as the Practices and Training Committee and assists new applicants entering the 3 Doors Presenters Path. He loves music, literature, and has been a practitioner of qigong and the internal martial arts for 20 years. On retreat with Rinpoche in 2013, Steven discovered the profound healing and transformative power of the Bön teachings in a way that gave new vitality and meaning to his work in healthcare. His goal as a 3 Doors Presenter is to continue to allow the 3 Doors view and practices to inform his personal and professional life and to find accessible ways to share these practices with colleagues and patients, particularly people dealing with chronic pain.
