Kathryn has been a meditator for decades. She started with TM in her twenties, became a student of the Diamond Approach, a Vipassana practitioner, then a student of and retreat organizer for Dan Brown. Eventually these roads led to Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and The 3 Doors where she found her path.
Kathryn thrives on variety in meditation practices and in work. She began as a school teacher, then university professor in Physical Education, a tennis and volleyball coach, followed by a 10-year stint as a stockbroker and financial planner. Further studies led to a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Diplomat of Process Oriented Psychology. She ended her professional life as a therapist, specializing in attachment as she worked with adoptive and foster parents and their children.
She is now busily retired and has completed The 3 Doors Compassion Project, North American Academy 5, and most recently The Presenters Path.. She is an avid duplicate bridge player, cold water dipper, and a perennial student of the stock market.
Kathryn leads a weekly in-person sangha group in Victoria and an online weekly meditation group with Temple Crocker.
