Mona has meditated in different traditions since her early twenties. She was introduced to Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s teachings in 2011. She graduated from the second European Academy in 2019 and became a 3 Doors Presenter in 2021. Mona meets regularly on zoom to practice with Nordic graduates from EU 2 and with a group from her Presenters Path training. She has led a small meditation group in Norway since 2020.
Mona is professor emerita at Oslo Metropolitan University, after having worked as a faculty member and researcher within the social sciences for more than 40 years. She has a PHD in Social work. Her field of research has been child welfare, protection, and poverty. Currently her research focuses on European family policy grounded in human rights of children and parents.
She spends a lot of time in nature; hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. She enjoys being a grandmother. Mona likes to read and is involved in environmental and political issues in her community.
For Mona, the secular approach of the 3 Door is vital, representing an inclusive attitude to people of different beliefs and ethnic origin. The practices and teachings are the foundation of her daily life. She lives in Norway.
