Marcy Vaughn is a senior student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. She has practiced Tibetan Buddhism for more than fifty years and graduated in the first class of the master’s program in contemplative psychotherapy at Naropa University where she also worked as director of admissions. Marcy is a counselor in private practice and offers both online and residential meditation groups and retreats. She currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Working in close collaboration with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Marcy has edited his books: Tibetan Sound Healing; Awakening the Sacred Body; Awakening the Luminous Mind; and Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities. She teaches throughout the US, Mexico, and Europe for Ligmincha International and is a Senior Teacher and the Board President of The 3 Doors. She leads various programs, including the organization’s signature offering, The 3 Doors North American Academy. In partnership with her husband, Gabriel Rocco, Marcy launched the first Compassion Project in 2016 and continues to teach it annually. This 9-month program explores meditation as a pathway to compassion for self and others and is now offered globally by 3 Doors teachers in multiple languages.
