John retired after working for the New Mexico Scientific Laboratory Division, the public health, environmental, and drug laboratory for the state. During this time of his life, he also met his wife and became a student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. Later he was introduced to Senior Teacher Raven Lee. She was instrumental in his arrival at the doorstep of The 3 Doors organization. John has been a participant in the 4th and 6th North American Academy where he studied under the kind guidance of Senior Teachers Gabriel Rocco and Marcy Vaughn. He was also on the board of Chamma Ling Retreat Center and received many blessings from that.  He enjoys being outdoors, playing guitar, and singing for the folks at a local memory care facility.  He lives in Colorado Springs where his granddaughter and her parents live. His favorite name is “Papa”.
