Participation Agreement

In consideration of my participation in a 3 Doors program/event (the “Program”), I make the following agreements with THE THREE DOORS, 554 Drumheller Lane, Shipman, VA:

1. Assumption of Risk; Hold Harmless. I assume all risks and from any cause arising or resulting from my participation in the Program. I agree to hold harmless The Three Doors and/or any of its officers, directors, teachers, employees and/or volunteers (collectively, “Personnel”) from any injury or damage to myself or others which results from any of my actions or omissions while I am participating in the Program.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability.  To the extent permitted by law, I hereby release and waive any and all rights to sue The Three Doors and/or any Personnel for any injury or damage that I may sustain during, or as a result of, my participation in the Program.
3. No Substitute for Therapy or Medical Treatment.  I understand and agree that The Three Doors and its Personnel do not diagnose or treat any medical or psychological condition and that participation in the Program is not a substitute for any medical, psychological or other therapy or treatment.
4. The 3 Doors is not responsible for providing emergency medical care during any in-person retreats. If The 3 Doors determines that emergency medical services are required for myself or minors under my care, I authorize The 3 Doors to arrange such care solely at my own expense.

Intellectual Property Rights

I understand and agree to the following:

1. I acknowledge that The 3 Doors maintains sole and exclusive ownership of its intellectual property (“the Property”). The Property includes the wordmark, “The 3 Doors,” and related design marks as well as copyrighted material presented by The 3 Doors representatives throughout the Program. As Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche has authorized The 3 Doors to act as his non-exclusive agent, the Property also includes copyrighted materials authored and owned by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche.
2. I will not use the Property in any manner that infringes on The 3 Doors’ ownership rights. If I wish to use the Property, I will seek consent from The 3 Doors and only commence use upon entering a licensing agreement with The 3 Doors. If I infringe on The 3 Doors intellectual property rights, I understand that I may be subject to legal proceedings.

Oath of Confidentiality

I hereby take an Oath of Confidentiality that I will keep all materials, conversations, training exercises and/or shared experiences that I encounter during the Program strictly confidential. I understand any breach of this oath could result in dismissal.

1. I understand and agree to hold in strictest confidentiality the disclosure of all personal information of my fellow trainees and teachers during my training in the Program.
2. I will not teach, proclaim, or write about the teachings, practices, or my experiences in the training without written consent from The 3 Doors.
3. I will not make any recordings or videos to document the teachings, practices, conversations, or materials. I understand that The 3 Doors will make recordings made of teachings and practice sessions of Programs available to all participants.
