The Awakening Power of Breath – Feb-March, 2019

Ver pagina en español

In this 4-week interactive online course, we explore the power of breath to release densities of body, energy, and mind, and guide us into a clearer, more fluid sense of self. Through simple practices utilizing breath awareness, we explore how patterns of breathing reflect states of wellbeing as well as blockage. As we increase our attunement to the way breath moves within us, we benefit more fully from the nourishing, vitalizing energy of our respiration, and more subtly, from the wisdom and higher qualities that become accessible to us as we deepen into the space of our being. These practices enable participants to:

  • Increase their sensitivity to the qualities and flow of their own breath
  • Utilize breath to recognize how limiting experiences of self are embodied
  • Recognize how breath can permeate and loosen habitual structures that bind us
  • Recognize the qualities that become available to us when the sense of self expands
  • Recognize how these qualities manifest in our relationship to ourselves and to the world around us.

Experiences from Laura’s 2018 Joy of Embodied Presence courses:

Laura’s class was wonderful. It gave me an experience of body which I have never known before and I am eager to continue the exploration. She is such a wise teacher – her timing is perfect and everything was coordinated perfectly to allow plenty of time for sharing and exploration. I think that she is a special person and I am looking forward to enjoying more classes with her in the future.  Karen C.

I found it a very deep and joyful journey. I want to thank everybody and especially Laura for her way of teaching. So trustful, calm, and effective. I found so much by going in-depth into the core of my being. It helped me become more alive in every cell of my body and more!  Roland Z.

Las enseñanzas de Laura sobre el movimiento lento del cuerpo, y cómo esa lentitud me abrió a un mundo de matices, de sutilezas con mi cuerpo. Inés S.   (Laura’s teachings on slow body movements opened up a world of subtleties within my body.)

Laura’s clear warmth comes through in a way that allows participants to discover their own.  To discover that afresh each Saturday morning in my living room speaks to the power of practice and the new possibilities that are available when a teacher knows how to guide with a presence gentle enough to allow an exploration and awareness of one’s subtle energies.
